By clicking the ‘I Agree’ button, downloading or using the Application, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
If you do not agree to the terms of this Agreement, do not click on the ‘I Agree’ button and do not download or use the Application.
General Information
Our goal is to keep this information timely and accurate. If errors are brought to our attention, we will try to correct them.
However, Ingredio accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever with regard to the information on this website. In principle, this information is:
a) of a general nature only and is not intended to address the specific circumstances of any particular individual or entity;
b) not necessarily comprehensive, complete, accurate or up to date;
c) sometimes linked to external sites over which the Ingredio has no control and for which the Ingredio assumes no responsibility;
not professional or legal advice (if you need specific advice, you should always consult a suitably qualified professional).
Please note that it cannot be guaranteed that online available information exactly reproduce an officially adopted text.
Ingredio provides information on product ingredients from the published scientific literature, to supplement incomplete data available from companies and the government.
Our ratings indicate the relative level of concern posed by exposure to the ingredients in this product – not the product itself – compared to other product formulations.
The ratings reflect potential health hazards but do not account for the level of exposure or individual susceptibility, factors which determine actual health risks, if any.
Moreover, our application or website does not provide information regarding the quantities of the detected ingredients. The provided analysis of the ingredients is independent from the quantity (of each ingredient) regarding the shown hazard levels. The above apply both for the product summary and for the ingredient.
In general, provided data and all information contained in the application and the website are prohibited for use as a material of accusation or legal advocacy.
It is our goal to minimize disruption caused by technical errors. However, some data or information on our app or website may have been created or structured in files
or formats that are not error-free and we cannot guarantee that our service will not be interrupted or otherwise affected by such problems. Ingredio accepts no responsibility with regard to such problems (e.g. failure of performance, computer virus, alteration of content) incurred as a result of using this website or any linked external sites.
License
Ingredio grants you a revocable, non¬exclusive, non¬transferable, limited license to download, install and use the Application solely for your personal, non¬commercial purposes strictly in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.
Restrictions
You agree not to, and you will not permit others to: a) license, sell, rent, lease, assign, distribute, transmit, host, outsource, disclose or otherwise commercially exploit the Application or make the Application available to any third party.

To provide our product, we must process information about you. The types of information we collect depend on how you use our product.

We at Ingredio want you to understand what information we collect, and how we use and share it. That’s why we encourage you to read our Privacy Policy.
This helps you use in the way that’s right for you. In the Privacy Policy, we explain how we collect, use, share, retain and transfer information. We also let you know your rights.
What kinds of information do we collect? To provide our product, we must process information about you. The types of information we collect depend on how you use our product.
Information and content you provide. We collect the content and other information you provide when you use our Product, including when you sign up for an account and scan an item.
This can include information in or about the content you provide (like metadata), such as the photo of the scanned item or the date a file was created. Our systems automatically process content communications you and others provide to analyze context and what’s in them.
Your usage
We collect information about how you use our Product, such as the actions you take; and the time, frequency and duration of your activities.
Device Information
As described below, we collect information from and about the computers, phones, connected TVs and other web-connected devices you use that integrate with our Product, and we combine this information across different devices you use.
For example, we use information collected about your use of our Product on your phone to better personalize the content (including ads) or features you see when you use our Product on another device, such as your laptop or tablet, or to measure whether you took an action in response to an ad we showed you on your phone on a different device.
Information we obtain from these devices includes:
Device attributes: information such as the operating system, hardware and software versions. Data from device settings: information you allow us to receive through device settings you turn on, such as access to your camera or photos. Network and connections: information such as the language and time zone.
How do we use this information?
We use the information we have (subject to choices you make) as described below and to provide and support Ingredio . Here is how:
Provide, personalize and improve our Products.
We use the information we have to deliver our Product, including to personalize features and content. To create personalized Product that are unique and relevant to you, we use your connections, preferences, interests and activities based on the data we collect and learn from you and others (including any data with special protections you choose to provide where you have given your explicit consent); how you use and interact with our Product.

Product research and development:
We use the information we have to develop, test and improve our Products, including by conducting surveys and research, and testing and troubleshooting new products and features.
Ads and other sponsored content:We use the information we have about you-including information about your interests, actions and connections-to select and personalize ads, offers and other sponsored content that we show you.
Provide measurement, analytics, and other business services. We use the information we have to help advertisers and other partners measure the effectiveness and distribution of their ads and services,
and understand the types of people who use their services and how people interact with their websites, apps, and services. Promote safety, integrity and security.
We use the information we have to verify accounts and activity, combat harmful conduct, detect and prevent spam and other bad experiences, maintain the integrity of our Product. Communicate with you.
We use the information we have to send you marketing communications, communicate with you about our Product, and let you know about our policies and terms.
We also use your information to respond to you when you contact us. Research and innovate for social good.
We use the information we have (including from research partners we collaborate with) to conduct and support research and innovation on topics of general social welfare, technological advancement, public interest, health and well-being.
How is this information shared?
New owner.
If the ownership or control of all or part of our Product or their assets changes, we may transfer your information to the new owner.
Sharing with Third-Party Partners We work with third-party partners who help us provide and improve our Products, which makes it possible to operate our companies and provide free services to people around the world.
We don’t sell any of your information to anyone, and we never will. We also impose strict restrictions on how our partners can use and disclose the data we provide. Here are the types of third parties we share information with:
Advertisers.
We provide advertisers with reports about the kinds of people seeing their ads and how their ads are performing,
but we don’t share information that personally identifies you (information such as your name or email address that by itself can be used to contact you or identifies who you are). For example, we provide general demographic and interest information to advertisers (for example, that an ad was seen by a woman between the ages of 25 and 34 who lives in Greece and likes Cycling) to help them better understand their audience. We also confirm which ads led you to make a purchase or take an action with an advertiser.
Measurement partners.
We share information about you with companies that aggregate it to provide analytics and measurement reports to our partners. Partners offering goods and services in our Products.
When you subscribe to receive premium content, or buy something from a seller in our Products, the content creator or seller can receive your public information and other information you share with them, as well as the information needed to complete the transaction, including shipping and contact details. Vendors and service providers.
We provide information and content to vendors and service providers who support our business, such as by providing technical infrastructure services, analyzing how our Products are used, providing customer service, facilitating payments or conducting surveys.
Researchers and academics.
We also provide information and content to research partners and academics to conduct research that advances scholarship and innovation that support our business or mission, and enhances discovery and innovation on topics of general social welfare, technological advancement, public interest, health and well-being.
Law enforcement or legal requests.
We share information with law enforcement or in response to legal requests in the circumstances outlined below. What is our legal basis for processing data? We collect, use and share the data that we have in the ways described above: as necessary to fulfill our Terms of Service; consistent with your consent, as necessary to comply with our legal obligations to protect your vital interests,
or those of others; as necessary in the public interest; and as necessary for our (or others) legitimate interests, including our interests in providing an innovative, personalized, safe, and profitable service to our users and partners, unless those interests are overridden by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms that require protection of personal data.
How can you exercise your rights provided under the GDPR?
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to access, rectify, port and erase your data.
You also have the right to object to and restrict certain processing of your data.
This includes: the right to object to our processing of your data for direct marketing, which you can exercise by using the “unsubscribe” link in such marketing communications;
and the right to object to our processing of your data where we are performing a task in the public interest or pursuing our legitimate interests or those of a third party.
You can exercise this right on Ingredio. Data retention, account deactivation and deletion.
If you would like to delete your in-app account and remove all of the information such as name, e-mail address etc.. from our database, please contact us at info[at]ingred.io.
After the deletion, you won’t be able to log in to your account within the application. We will assist you in the account deletion process promptly.
We store data until it is no longer necessary to provide our services , or until your account is deleted – whichever comes first. This is a case-by-case determination that depends on things like the nature of the data,
why it is collected and processed, and relevant legal or operational retention needs. When you delete your account, we delete content you have uploaded, such as your photos and you won’t be able to recover that information later.
How do we respond to legal requests or prevent harm?
We access, preserve and share your information with regulators, law enforcement or others: In response to a legal request,
if we have a good-faith belief that the law requires us to do so. We can also respond to legal requests when we have a good-faith belief that the response is required by law in that jurisdiction, affects users in that jurisdiction, and is consistent with internationally recognized standards.
When we have a good-faith belief it is necessary to: detect, prevent and address fraud, unauthorized use of the Products, violations of our terms or policies, or other harmful or illegal activity;
to protect ourselves (including our rights, property or Products), you or others, including as part of investigations or regulatory inquiries; or to prevent death or imminent bodily harm. For example, if relevant, we provide information to and receive information from third-party partners about the reliability of your account to prevent fraud, abuse and other harmful activity on and off our Products.
How do we operate and transfer data as part of our global services?
We share information globally, both internally within the Ingredio and externally with our partners in accordance with this policy.
Information controlled by Ingredio will be transferred or transmitted to, or stored and processed in, the United States or other countries outside of where you live for the purposes as described in this policy.
These data transfers are necessary to provide the services set forth in the Ingredio terms and to globally operate and provide our Product to you.
We utilize standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decisions about certain countries, as applicable, for data transfers from the EEA to the United States and other countries.
Modifications to Application
Ingredio reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Application or any service to which it connects, with or without notice and without liability to you.
Term and Termination
This Agreement shall remain in effect until terminated by you or Ingredio. Ingredio may, in its sole discretion, at any time and for any or no reason, suspend or terminate this Agreement with or without prior notice.
This Agreement will terminate immediately, without prior notice from Ingredio, in the event that you fail to comply with any provision of this Agreement.
You may also terminate this Agreement by deleting the Application and all copies thereof from your mobile device or from your desktop.
Upon termination of this Agreement, you shall cease all use of the Application and delete all copies of the Application from your mobile device or from your desktop.
Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Amendments to this Agreement
Ingredio reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace this Agreement at any time. If a revision is material we will provide at least 3 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
