Polyxeni Thanou is currently an undergraduate in the Chemical Engineering Department of the National Technical University of Athens with a focus on Food and Biotechnology. Her research interests lie in the field of applying digital technologies such as bioinformatics to improving life standards and a healthy wellbeing. Parallel to her studies, she has taken relevant seminars such as “Bioinformatics Methods” (University of Toronto), “Computational Nanotechnology – e Nanomapper” (National Technical University of Athens), “Genes and the Human Condition (From Behavior to Biotechnology) (University of Maryland). Polyxeni curates and enriches the ingred.io database with chemical ingredients that are contained in food and cosmetics products and is also responsible for the PR and social media management in the company.
